Amitabh Bachchan’s house 'Jalsa' that has become Mumbai’s tourist spot

Mumbai:  Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has still not lost his popularity unlike his contemporaries. He is still a star and is hugely revered by his fans. This fact is validated by the crowd turnout outside his house in Mumbai. His bungalow 'Jalsa' is thronged by thousands of fans. They stay outside the house just to get a glimpse of their superstar. It would not be wrong to say that Big B’s house is a tourist spot especially for the fans.

Amitabh Bachchan has recently bought his 5th bungalow. The names of the bungalows are ‘Prateeksha’, ‘Janak’, ‘Jalsa’, ‘Naivaidya’ and ‘Vatsa’. The Bachchan family lives in Jalsa.

Amitabh lives in Prateeksha with wife Jaya, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, and son Abhishek and grand-daughter Aradhya.

His father and mother used to live in this house after Amitabh moved to ‘Jalsa’His second house Jalsa has two stories. It has a total area of 10,125 square feet. The latest house ‘Vats’ is of Rs 50 crore. It has a living area of 8000 square feet. His office ‘Janak’ is at a distance of 50 m from ‘Jalsa’. The family has a gym in the house. Bachchan family meets the guests at the house.

Jalsa was gifted to Amitabh Bachchan in 1982 by film director Ramesh Sippi after the success of ‘Satte pe Satta’.
