Mumbai: Exactly five years ago, twelve coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai rocked the nation on 26/11/2008.On Nov 27, Indian Army's National Security Guards (NSG) conducted Operation "Black Tornado" to flush out the remaining attackers, it resulted in the deaths of the last remaining attackers at the Taj hotel and ending all fighting in the attacks.Various security personnel laid down their lives during the attacks.
Faces covered in black, the commandos arrived at the scene early in the morning of 27 November 2008 with a naval helicopter taking an aerial survey. Confrontation with terrorists began, with hostages being rescued at every step of action. Their operation came to a successful end on Nov 29.
